Thee Blazer is a MUST.

Just like every gal needs a little black dress, we also need the perfect black blazer! It should actually be a staple piece in everyone’s wardrobe and the best way to snag a great one, is to find one that fits your body right and is proportional to your measurements. A blazer should have clean lines and be able to polish off even the simplest look. I like mine to have princess seems down the front to tailor the fit. I always make sure that the shoulder seams line up with my shoulders because the slightest inch shorter or longer can make a huge difference. Always check the lining to make sure that it fits inside like a glove with no puckering. Seams are very important when checking out any garment and even if you aren't knowledgeable about stiches, anyone can tell when it is a poor job, if it already looks like it is the slightly unraveling in the store, chances are it will unravel shortly at home. I also make sure to check the buttons, they should be tight and secure, any flimsy button will fall off in a few wears (if you’re lucky). The typical stich on a well sewn button should be parallel from each other, any button stitched diagonally in an "X" should tell you enough. Lapels should lay clean and depending on your shape you should find a length flattering to your body type.
