I was beyond honored to attend the launch of the next upcoming hottest women's fashion line to hit the market. A vision brought to life and designed by the lovely Janine Blain, former VP/GMM for Directives West and an extremely talented friend of mine, Sheena Snyder. They have come together to form the perfect collaboration of an amazing versatile designer meets a keen eye in the industry. The line is made up of the finest silk habitae, chiffon and yoryu fabrics with silhouettes to flatter just about any woman! The set-up of the line preview was very simple and sweet with feel good vibes that circulated the courtyard. The intimate ambiance was well executed being that it was held at Ms. Blain's chic Pasadena residence, with homemade sweets baked by her family and j.blain's signature orange color that was themed tastefully throughout the entire party. Even her custom ordered tangerine flavored twizzlers were a HIT! Everyone from fashion bloggers, buyers, family, to WWD were in attendance. The line will retail in stores for about $65 - $160 which is great for the quality of silks used!
As we browsed the line I asked Sheena what her inspiration was when designing this collection and who is j.blain's girl, she confidently replied "she's modern... a chic casual without trying too hard. Bringing art back to fashion, feel good clothing to feed your self -esteem and closet" and we all know that I am a fan of fashion that can boost one’s self -esteem! I then turned to Ms. Blain and asked her what her favorite part was about this entire process and she said with a bright smile, “the creative process of taking your vision and making it reality, that is the most rewarding". Dreams do come true and it's the moment when preparation meets opportunity! So Look out Fashion world, cuz here they come!!!
